Many Zoos (especially those who have a history like ZG ZOO) are a permanent urban part of the civic culture of old European cities and have to transform their presence and presentation to today’s “fast” and demanding pace of life and re-establish themselves as an interesting point for the visitors.
The Zagreb Zoo is also going through the modernization phase and has got a new entrance on the east side, from Faculty Street. For the first time in the history of the Zoo, the Zoo has gained a surface for displaying signs, names and invitations for visitors visible from the Maksimir road, becoming part of the city facade.

Mnogi zoološki vrtovi (pogotovo oni koji imaju povijest kao ZG ZOO) su stalni urbani dio građanske kulture starih europskih gradova i morali su transformirati svoju prisutnost i prezentaciju prema današnjim “ubrzanim” i zahtjevnim tempom života te se ponovno nametnuti kao zanimljiva točka vikendom mladim obiteljima i starim poznanicima.
Zagrebački Zoološki vrt također prolazi kroz fazu modernizacije te je dobio novi ulaz na svojoj istočnoj strani, iz ulice Fakultetsko dobro. Zoo je prvi puta u povijesti dobio površinu za postavu znaka, imena i poziva posjetiteljima vidljivu s Maksimirske ceste, čime postaje dio gradske fasade.
